Chicken ‘à la bonne femme’

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken, cut into 8 or 10
  • 1 kilo potatoes, cubed
  • 300 grams of mushrooms, diced
  • 100 grams of bacon (chopped)
  • ground paprika
  • 50 gram of butter
  • 2 large onions
  • pepper and salt
  • parsley

Utilities: baking dish with lid (f.e. Römertopf)

Rub the chicken pieces with ground paprika and place in the baking dish.

Mix the potatoes with mushrooms, bacon, onion and salt and pepper, and add to the chicken.
Cut the butter into cubes and spread over the dish.
Place the dish with lid in an oven at 200 ° C. Let simmer for 75 minutes with lid, remove the lid and cook for 15 minutes in the oven.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
